What Kind of Models Am I Looking For?
At Kirk Voclain Photography, my goal is to photograph as many people as possible, showcasing the beauty and uniqueness of each individual. You don’t have to be super thin or the most popular kid to work with me. What I’m really looking for is someone who looks great in front of the camera.
So, what does that mean? It’s all about symmetry! Good skin, pretty eyes, and attractive features like lips and a well-balanced face make a difference. If people, other than your family, often tell you, "You are so pretty!" or "You’re so handsome!" then you probably qualify.
It’s also important that you’re in good health. This doesn’t mean you need to be a skinny fashion model, but you should be fit enough to move around easily. If you have difficulty walking from your car to your house or struggle with stairs, it might be a good idea to check in with your doctor first.
Where Does the Photography Happen?
Most of my photography takes place in my home studio located at 255 Sugarwood Blvd. It’s a comfortable and professional space where we can create beautiful Kirk Portraits that you’ll love. However, I’m also inspired by the natural beauty of our area. If we’re driving and spot some gorgeous yellow flowers on the side of the road or in a nearby ditch, don’t be surprised if we stop to take some shots there too!
How Much Does It Cost?
If I choose you to model, the cost is ZERO. You won’t have to pay a dime. In return, you’ll receive social media-sized images, perfectly formatted for sharing on your accounts. The only thing I ask in exchange is that you help spread the word about my photography services. Tell your friends, family, and followers about Kirk Voclain Photography and ask them to follow my social media accounts. If you agree to that, we have a deal!
You will need to sign a modeling release, which allows me to use the images for my social media, marketing, and stock photography purposes. It’s a win-win situation—beautiful, professional photos for you and valuable exposure for my work as a top Houma photographer.
Aspiring to Be a Paid Model?
I love your ambition! It’s great to have goals, especially in the competitive world of modeling. However, the reality is that it’s very rare for a professional photographer to pay a model directly. If you’re hired to model for a publication like Vogue Magazine, the magazine—not the photographer—will be the one paying you.
